OK. for the others, if you write a short email to the folowing companies with your address, asking to try some samples of their products. they will send you free treats or/and food, or other stuff! NOW some stuff shouldn't be fed to your ferret, so donate it to a shelter PLEASE!!!!!! these are the emails for each company, and a little guide of the health of them. ok? there are 8. have some fun. ive saved you a lot of time believe me!!! spend 15-20 minutes to email all. just copy & paste the same message excepte for innova dont ask for ferret food! LOL DON'T FORGET YOUR ADDRESS

Adding a few contacts that I found and the info I have on them: Brisky Pet Products: www.brisky.com/6/index.php?_fa=newitem&id=4~this is an email form to fill out for a free sample... they only offer foods for exotics, don't carry any dog/cat stuff which I find kinda interesting. Found them from an ad in Ferrets USA 2005... advertisement actually said that they give free samples. I filled in the form, will let you know when/what they send. Triple F Farms: ferrets@TripleFFarms.com ~doesn't say that they don't give samples out but they do have their own ferret food. I emailed them, will let you know what/when they send. |

You're welcome! BTW: I emailed all the companies on the list... hmm I think it was Tuesday and today I got samples from Mazuri and Path Valley Mazuri sent a whole POUND of food!  surprised me when the UPS man buzzed the door when I was getting ready for work this morning... I didn't expect such quick replies. Path Valley sent two very small samples one of their regular chicken & rice diet (which I can buy at a few stores locally by the pound for a relatively good price) and one of a smaller pellet-type version of chicken and rice. It looks to be moist rather than dry kibble and we will likely use it as treats. Will let you know what/when I get any additional info/samples from the companies if anyone is interested. |

yeah they sent a pound, a lot! but a lot of people got 3lbs..they reduced the size because of how many orders ...lol
could you imagine, a hundred ferret people "can i have samples?"...haha
all my dogs scare the UPS dude away! we have three..lol and if in the house, they bark howl,growl...raaaarrr! LOl..he always leaves i a hury!

HAHA about the doggies scaring the UPS man! Our UPS man actually calls me his "delivery nemesis" apparently he was trying to deliver a few packages for Nate and I that needed to be signed for and couldn't catch up with us for about 4 days. On the last delivery day he finally caught me at home on a day off. Then he was also confused once by something coming to this address for me (Nate's lived here a few months longer than me) and buzzed the door "Are you Sarah?" -Yeah "Ok... this package is for you" LOL I think he was just glad I was home to get the package this time so he didn't have to keep leaving us notes again since I did have to sign for it! In other news, I got a package in the mail from Wysong today. Two small (and I mean like 1 serving) samples one of Archetypal- I and one of Archetypal-2 I may pick up some of the A-1 next time I've got a lil cash but its too expensive to be a daily food, so I'm thinking about maybe getting some to suppliment regular food. Will keep updating as to what I get and when I get it so folks know what generally the companies are sending  |

I sent mail to the entire list with the exception of innova.
I recieved samples and info from Wysong, Mazuri, and Path Valley all within about a week and a half from the date I emailed. I recently got an email from Triple F Farms asking for my phone number which they apparently need to ship things (seems odd to me but I sent it) am waiting on samples from the rest of the companies. Will let you know when they come about how long it took and what all they sent.

I just didn't email innova because I was c&p-ing the same message, and didn't get around to changing "ferret" to "cat" to email them. UPDATE: I got... get this TWO POUNDS of food from Triple F Farms in the mail today. It looks like the type bag they would send if you bought it directly from them!! What a sample!!! ;D |

Most of mine came within 1-2 weeks...however.... 8 in 1 literally took 6-8 weeks!! But I got at least $80 worth of stuff! Even if most of it wasn't good. It's still very thoughtful. I got alot of neat stuff from Totally Ferret also.
