Took one of my rescues Claw to the vet and found out he has cancer I'm not sure what to do help?

Unless surgery is an option, and depending on the cancer, pred is usually the treatment to try to slow the growth of tumors and reduce inflammation. The carifate will help protect his guts from the pred for a time. It's like pepto bismol; it coats the stomach. I think it should be given 1/2 to 1 hour before the pred. If you give them together the carifate may prevent the pred being absorbed. We usually just give the pred with food.

He gets up and potties with some struggles and he eats not a lot and I'm not sure how to give the preds with something or by itself??? My Star have him a down home bath today from head to toe I cried it's like she knows Star is my adreanal girl. Am I being selfish??

Okay on carafate I have that down to a science it's the preds I wasn't sure of. Thankyou so much. I have never had a baby with cancer and this is heart wrenching !!!
