Please.help, my baby is only 13 months old and she is very distressed, vomiting or trying but when she actually can get something up it's a foamy liquid. Also she seems constipated. One weird thing she is doing is going into a corner or hiding her head almost as if she is scared or embarassed. I leave for school in the morning and my dad helps take care of her, I am so worried to leave her like this

It sounds like she needs to see a vet. In the meantime you can give her some vaseline petrolium jelly most all my ferrets will take it but some needed to have it put in their mouth the first time that is for the constipation also canned plain pumpkin works if you have it not pumpkin pie mix but pumpkin that is also good for constipation. You can also use ferretone if you have it. I hope she hasn't eaten anything that could cause her to have a blockage she needs to see a vet though if she doesn't get better. She may be hiding because she is in pain and a ferret in pain really doesn't show it very easily but hiding could be due to that they don't want you to know they feel bad since when they use to be in the wild many years ago they had to hide if ill or sick so their enemies wouldn't realize they were weak and vulnerable. Good luck I hope she feels better soon.

Thank you for your advice. She did take a little bit of patrolleum jelly. And has since stopped coughing/choking. She seems more relaxed so I guess I will just have to wait and see in the morning

How's she doing? You can give vasoline or pumpkin three times in 24 hours and if that doesn't help she needs to see a vet. Sorry I"m so late in replying.
