Does anyone know those containers of oreos that come in the very thin plastic boxes? The ones with the pull-back adhesive openings?
Well he got ahold of one and chewed apart some of it and I think he ingested a bit of it! He's going to be okay if I feed him some vaseline? It's not a hard plastic. It's more like paper than anything. But I'm really worried now!

I would give him extra vaseline, and I'd give him several small doses for a day or so until you think he's okay. You should know if he's normal within that time. If his poo starts getting runny, back off the vaseline and just watch him. If you have pumpkin, you can use a little of that instead but I'm not sure how much or how often.... someone with more pumpkin experience will have to advise.
Hopefully Koda didn't get enough to create a problem and will be fine. Good luck and keep us posted.

He seems to be playing and eating normal. So I'll keep an eye on him. Upon further investigation, he doesn't appear to have eaten more than a small piece or two. But I'll keep watching. Thank you Judy!

As the others have said above. If his poop starts to become pencil thin then you can reasonably think there may be a blockage. If that occurs and the poop doesn't go back to normal after a couple of days of vaseline/pumpkin and his food intake decreases sharply you would want to take him to a vet for an xray. Other than that, you should be good to go.
Ferrets are very individual as to what harmful things they'll get into. I've never had a ferret that eats paper or material but that doesn't mean the next one that crosses our threshold won't be a devoted paper or plastic muncher! Do know that most all ferrets have an unholy love for foam - the type you find typically in some pet beds or the foam substance that is used typically in tv remote control buttons. Ingested, these products are very dangerous for ferrets because it swells up inside them very rapidly.

Koda seemed entirely unaffected by the oreo container. haha. When I told my friend about the situation, he laughed hysterically. Koda didn't seem to know it wasn't okay at all.
So he's good to go. Eating fine (aside from switching their food) and terrorizing us all as usual.
I have noticed his love for the foam Dingo. I actually have a cover on my phone that is made of about the same type of silicone so it absorbs the shock when I drop it and he will do whatever it takes to get to the cover. I've watched him attempt to drag my android under the bed to dismantle the covers. It's exhausting when I'm trying to get work done with him on the bed. Haha.
Thank you all for your concern! We were equally as worried
