Hello, I've had a male ferret named Lyric for a little over a year now, and just recently i got a little female Named June the same age as him, they get along alright hes a little bit of a bully but everyone tells me thats normal. For the last couple days June's been sleeping alot, way more then she normally does, when shes awake she plays but then goes right back to sleep. should i be worried? shes eating, drinking and pooping alright, I'm just wondering if its something to do with his roughness of playing? or maybe i'm just over reacting! I'm new to having her, shes way different then my boy! anyway thanks and i hope someone can help me!

I think as long as she's acting normal in every other way, sleeping a little extra shouldn't cause a panic. She may just be adjusting to her new home and is finally comfortable. Its wise to keep an eye on her though since any new behavior could be a symptom of illness. A vet visit and some basic blood work could put your mind at ease if this goes on much longer or if you just get that gut feeling that she isn't right. Keep us posted on your little June bug

I agree, it may be stress, she's in a new home and has a new playmate who is a little over bearing. Just keep a close eye, make sure she is getting plenty of water, food and her poo looks fairly normal and it will be ok. Welcome to our family.
