Arthur has been on Amoxicillin for almost a month now and is feeling much better. The Amoxicillin needs to be refrigerated but I was not feeling very good this afternoon and left it our for an hour an a half. I am supposed to give him some tonight. Is it still ok to use??? HELP

Yes still give it to him, its probably ok, that isnt all that long to be unrefridgerated and maybe call the vet in the morning and see if you need to go get another bottle.

My vets usually advise that if it's left out, be sure not to leave it longer than 4 hours, but I'd say it's fine only being out for 1.1/2 hours. I've done that before too. Go ahead and call, but normally amoxacillin is one of those hardy antibiotics that can stand out a little while. It's not advixed to leave it out, mind you, but if there's no choice in it, or it's forgotten, then 4 hours is about the adverage limit.

Thanks for all your help. I found the box the bottle came in and it said do not store in temps over 77 degrees so I thought it would be ok so I gave it to him. The vet reduced how much he is getting now and as soon as he finishes this bottle he can be done with it.
