The members of EverythingFerret are ferret owners such as yourself. We are not veterinarians. There are a few of us that are veterinary technicians or that otherwise work in a veterinary hospital, but we are not able to diagnose or treat your ferret's medical condition. The advice you receive on this forum is in no way to be taken over the advice you will receive from a licensed, practicing veterinarian. If any medical conditions arise with your ferret, you must contact your veterinarian immediately. EverythingFerret, its members and its managers are not responsible if you choose to take the advice on this forum rather than see your vet, nor do we encourage such behavior.
Please post your name when you read this to show that you do understand that this section does not take the place of a veterinarian, and that EverythingFerret is in no way liable for any problems arising from advice given on this board.
Do not post on this board before you read and sign this! [/b][/quote]

Agreed. I have a sick ferret...we have been to the vet who has diagnosed adrenal disease...we started her on the injections of liprosene...since she has come home she has been very lethargic, and has lost alot of strength in her back legs it appears. I have been trying to give her pedialyte (at least 1 teaspoon) to keep her hydration up, and some duck soup, a little less than a teaspoon of that. She has been vomiting both of these up...should I continue the pedialyte and duc suop? She has to have something to keep up her strength!

Oops, forgot to do this part. Seems like common sense but I do understand the need to state the obvious. Crystal
