Smoky looks to be a champagne panda, or no? He is on my display picture.

WE dont know..december of 05, we were at a gas station and someone jeremy knows came up and said he had a ferret and he didnt want it, he was mean, and heard we had some, and he give it to us real quick...and didnt even seem like he cared anything about it.. so i guess maybe 2 or 3 years?possibly four but i dont know how to tell by size... i think maybe they treated him badly, as he came here biting and not very sociable at first..he is very loving now but he still bites..he never really changes color except he used to have a big orange splotch on his shoulders which isnt present anymore..he has little spickets of black between his ears,,throughout his coat and his tailis pepper colored..but his coat is like 98% white and only little speckles of black hairs scattered throught out..barely visible unless u get right up on him.. is there anyway that he could be a mutt ferret, or are all of them full-blooded. do they breed sable and albinos together in ferret places? he doesnt have the blue dots so he isnt from marshall farms..do you know where he could have come from?

um, the term mutt in ferret-world means a ferret with colors and markings that don't fit in any catagory. Your guy looks, and sounds like a DEW. a Dark Eyed White can have dark maroon eyes, black or brown eyes too. 90% should be white, and the yellowing isn't his real color.

okay, all the other DEW's i saw i didnt really see any dark markings, but the blackish colored tail is okay in a DEW?i just wasnt sure. is there any such thing as getting aferret who isnt full blooded nowdays? or more polecat?

If there is a significant amount of dark on Splotch, he would be called a mark DEW.

by polecat do you mean sable(UK term is polecat), or the actual species? There is one breeder I know of who does have polecat in her lines. They are so beautiful big and grown up. She is very careful to whom may keep a kit, she requires previous experienc with unaltered hobs. I was told they are even smarter.

I mean the actualpolecat. I saw on a site that they come from polecats.and polecats are only still in australia and somewhere else, it said there were none in america, so iwas wondering if anybody could get one here or did have one, or ifthey had babies with a ferret what would it be/look like?
